Private residence, design challange  to design, engineer and fabricate an 18 foot long sofa and matching chaise lounge.  We drew from old world craftsmanship and enhanced the design with clean modern lines.  Single 18' seat cushion on chaise has a foam core with a full down filled envelope. Legs are turned and finished to look like hammered bronze.

Steve Koch worked with Chicago based interior design firm Soucie Horner on this private island residence. SKD designed and oversaw fabrication of custom upholstery and case goods throughout the residence.

Gratz Center Chicago 

 

Steve Koch worked in conjunction with Gensler Chicago designing the custom furnishings for the Gratz Chapel in the new addition to the 4th Presbyterian Church Chicago. Steve designed and oversaw fabricated the custom walnut stacking chairs.  With the Gensler design team we engineered and fabricated the bronze lectern, bronze communion table, bronze baptismal font and bronze cross.

High-end living LSD Chicago Private Residence

 

 

Steve Koch designed and fabricated the beautiful built-in cabinets for this luxury Chicago high-rise condo.  Living Room: antique mirrors were integrated into the custom fireplace wall millwork. The library cabinets are finished in white lacquer with brown silk back panels.

The prototype allows us to work on the ergonomics, comfort and proportion of each piece. All materials used in manufacturing are meticulously selected for their beauty and durability. Upholstery frames are made of solid maple with eight way hand tied springs. Fabrics are hand cut and expertly tailored onto each frame.  Each item goes through a five-person inspection before being crated to assure that your finished product is of the finest quality before being released.
